Triumph Street Triple 765 RS with S1 muffler, pure sound
Quick ride on my new 765RS with a SC Project S1 muffler... to record its sound before it is gone. In fact it is already gone, stock muffler back on the bike because the S1 is too loud even with db killer. ECU is already adjusted.
Don't install the S1 unless you are prepared to flash the ECU or use some fuel device.
Disclaimer: this is not a race track or a road that people do what they want. There is traffic and residential area. I stretch the gears here and there just to capture the sound for posterity, before I get rid of this exhaust.

Short term review of Suzuki GSX 8S. No talk, text only
Просмотров 976 месяцев назад
This is a shor-term and objective review of a GSX-8S that I bought late May/2024 for the sole purpose of city use and very short tours where my GSXR 750 is less practical. If you are considering the 8S as a do-all bike, I hope my feedback from daily use can help your decision to part ways with your money. From the point of view of urban use, this one, like most nakeds, are difficult to beat, sp...
Urban ride enjoying summer, on a GSX-8S (RIP ER-An, Osøyro)

Normal ride to enjoy some sun during the summer, just after the break-in process of the GSX-8S and first oil change. RIP ER-An, a bikers point along Osvegen with awesome rock and roll ambient and food. Home to many bikers and muscle cars meetings.

After buying this GSX-8S a week ago, I'm doing the last 300km for the first oil. 300km til første oljen. I recorded this at 2.7k 60fps and just realized iMovie doesn't export to 2.7k, so it is 1080p now. Camera already set to 4k for the next recordings.

New GSX-8S picked up fresh at the dealer and first ride for lunch. The camera is mounted on the mirror and since it is one of those older models with no stabilization, it is a bit shaky. I just got a newer model so the next ones should be better. Har nettopp hentet ein ny GSX-8S hos forhandleren, tatt en rask tur for lunsj etterpå (trengt å gå hjemmet fordi jeg gløymt kameraet støtte, doh). I k...

Riding to Geilo on the Rv7 to buy some knives at Brusletto - FullHD

In July I was riding from Oslo to Bergen with a stop at Geilo for some knife shopping at Brusletto, a traditional factory in Norway. I was needing some kitchen knives as well some gifts for my father. The video starts at Nesbyen, where I stopped for food/water/fuel. Geilo is about 75km away, with a great view along the Riksveg 7. And also very hot on a good day. You stop, you overheat. No music...

The Immortal music, Sega Genesis / NES Medley, by Nyquist Dream

GAME PLAY VIDEO WANTED FOR THIS SOUNDTRACK!!! This is a medley I played from Will Harvey's The Immortal game, which was available to many systems such as the C64, Amiga, NES, Genesis and PC. For this remix I used the Sega Genesis and NES versions as bases, the ones I played back in the console days many years ago. This is also to thank Rob Hubbard for creating the soundtracks of these consoles....

Here is my most recent work, a remix of one the most memorable VG soundtracks ever made: the 2nd stage of Journey to Silius of the NES. It was played and reproduced in the smallest details and then some more. Its complete loop length is around 3:30, making it one of the longest, if not the longest loop of any cartridge-based console games. Crank the volume and enjoy.

      I was just talking a moment ago to my system who lives in SoCal and asked if Maine was around, because there can be multiple places with same name, eh? You were riding from Maine to CA? Dude, you almost came from Canada! Damn, THAT was a ride, gratz! I do cruise around Europe late spring/early summer every year, avoiding the peak of tourist season. But it does get depressing in Norway on july/august because of the chance of non-stop rain (there is dry season here), so one really must put the miles in may/june/september.

    Can I remove rust by this method?

    • @saulocpp
      @saulocpp 6 лет назад

      Peru Koalas, my personal view of removing rust from a disk is, first, disassemble the thing. I wouldn't do the service with the thing mounted on the bike. Since I don't know how much rust you got, you may apply those sprays that "break" the rust by freezing it. You will need some coarser sandpaper for metal, like 240 or 120, and do it by hand. This will not damage the steel because it is not coarse enough nor is the pressure you apply so big. What you can also do, and this will require the disk off the wheel, of course, is taking to a sandblasting service (might cost you some $$$). A third way is to use a cordless drill with a fiber disk attached. These disks are made to remove rust and I used it to totally get rust out of the exhaust pipes from another bike I have (the part coming from the block). The disk is not hard enough to damage the steel, but make sure you use the LOW SPEED gear of the drill. And don't even think of doing it without protection goggles. Wash the disk when done and make sure NO OIL is on the surface before mounting again.

    Why did so many folks dislike this? Am I missing something?

    • @saulocpp
      @saulocpp 7 лет назад

      Hi Gerhard. No idea, but you know the internet, nobody really needs any reason to dislike on hate on something. But let me share another tip: when you are done with this cleaning, use a coarse sandpaper for metal, like 80, and scratch the disk with movements towards and away from the center (don't scratch in the direction of the wheel spin). Apply some pressure so the sandpaper can do something on the steel (don't use a machine, just the hand pressure). This will give you a lot more bite on the brakes due to the added friction. It is specially useful for me here because it rains pretty much everyday, and a perfectly flat disk surface will delay the braking. The scratches add disturbance to the water surface and immediately break the tension, the brakes respond much, much faster. Sure a shining brake disk looks cool to most people, but I don't care about a good looking disk, I want brakes that stop my bike immediately.

    • @saulocpp
      @saulocpp 7 лет назад

      Hi, Sasholsuma. I normally do this procedure just prior to winter storage. You know, when they start salting the road, all sorts of corrosive junk sticks to the hot brakes. With this simple cleaning you have your wheel spinning free again, prevent corrosion of parts that are not stainless steel, and when the riding season starts, I do the disk scratching that I just mentioned in a previous reply to Gerhard (above). This way I make sure my brakes generate as much friction as possible while also eliminating small stones/dirt that can destroy the disk and the pads.

      I am not sure because I am not one of the ones who disliked it, but it would have been better if he had also shown how to clean the buttons/bobbins. That should have been done at the same time, because they are most likely stiff or frozen as well.
